13.05.2012 - It was long overdue, we asked for it, we begged for it and we demanded it..finally, probably a couple of years late, it finally happens.
For the last time the "old guard" of Milan was on the pitch. Guys who won everything in red and black, guys we cheered for and we adored. Guys who wrote history not to be forgotten in the years to come.
The ever hungry Pippo, badboy Gattuso who was only satisfied when sure he had walked over every inch of the pitch, all managed by our defense minister Nesta and cocordinated by the gentleman Seedorf, who we watched gallantly score with one of his famous free kicks.
Even the "newcomers" Zambrotta and van Bommel had tears in their eyes when they passed for the last time all four corners of the pitch honored by the standing ovation of the fans.
Time passes and so do stars and players. Now it is time for the next generation to make sure we are always on top, playing for the title in Italy and Europe.
Thank you Pippo, Rino, Nesta, Mark, Clarence and Zambrotta.....thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you did and all you gave for the colours we so much love and honor. It was a privilege to watch you play and win the titles!
Forza Vecchio Cuore Rossonero!
